ARETERA launches new EC1 shaft with CONTROL CENTR
Aretera Golf is ready to launch its second shaft designed by Aretera co-founder and legendary shaft designer Alex Dee. With this new shaft, the company is pushing innovation further in order to make the highest-performing shafts on the market. Everything about the EC1 line of shafts is new from the profile to the construction of the shafts.
What isn’t new? Well, there will be a Blue and a Gray option to suit golfers with different needs.
CONTROL CENTR
The big story here is the new Aretera technology called Control Centr that runs that length of the shaft. It is a different way of creating a bias core that adds stability to the softer midsection of the shaft. Typically, shafts with stiffer handle and tip sections, but a softer midsection, can see inconsistencies with how the shaft performs. To counter this, Aretera is using ultra-premium high-modulus materials along with spread tow fabric to increase torsional stability. The materials are then stacked in a sequence that is balanced to create this stability where a typical shaft is built with these materials layered at the inner core. This design gives golfers the smooth feel and higher ball speed without sacrificing accuracy and consistency. The EC1 profile produces an extremely smooth feel with a slightly higher launch.
